LTC (R) Louis L. King, MSITM, a military veteran with over 27 years of service, is in his second year as Dean of Cadets at Cullen Military Academy (CMA), the first military academy in the Houston Independent School District (HISD). With nine years of experience in HISD, he previously served eight years as Senior Army Instructor at G.C. Scarborough High School, where he led the Spartan JROTC to secure over 22 national awards. Under his leadership, students earned more than $10 million in academic scholarships and military benefits, including four appointments to the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2023 and 2024. LTC King has also held roles such as Department Chair, Literacy Specialist, Classroom Culture Specialist, and Master JROTC STEM Instructor.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Alcorn State University and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Touro International University.
